To continuously improve the level of scientific drug use in aquaculture,On July 19th, the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the China Veterinary Medicine Supervision Office launched the "Scientific Use of Veterinary Antibiotics to Assist in the High Quality Development of Animal Husbandry" technology campaign in Luanping County, Hebei Province.Lu Wang, Director of the Drug Administration and Equipment Department of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Liu Deping, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Veterinary Drug Supervision Institute, and relevant leaders of the Hebei Agriculture and Rural Department, Chengde Agriculture and Rural Bureau and Luanping County attended the event and made speeches. Chen Xianguo, deputy director of China Veterinary Drug Supervision Institute, presided over the event.

The activity pointed out that in recent years, the agricultural and rural departments have continued to carry out the activities of "science and technology to the countryside, technology to the people, and law to the people", which has effectively promoted the implementation of veterinary medicine regulations, improved the level of breeding safety and standardized drug use, and gathered the consensus of scientific drug use in the industry. Through systematic management, the dosage of antimicrobials in aquaculture in China has achieved significant "double decline", the actual effect of "less drug use" has continued to improve, and the scientific cognition of drug use has been widely popularized. However, there are still some improper understanding of antimicrobials, and it is necessary to continue to carry out publicity, promote the reduction of veterinary antimicrobials, guide farmers to use drugs scientifically and safely, promote the high-quality development of animal husbandry, and protect the safety of the people's tongue.

This activity is also an important measure to implement the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs "National Action Plan for Reducing the use of veterinary Antimicrobials (2021-2025)" and carry out special remediation actions to standardize the use of livestock and poultry farming drugs. At the launch ceremony, the commitment signature of scientific drug use and the gift of popular science books were carried out, and technical lectures and on-site consultations were carried out, such as the interpretation of the reduction policy of veterinary antimicrobial drugs and the standardized drug use in breeding links. Nearly 200 representatives of livestock farms (households) in Hebei Province and grassroots veterinary technicians participated in the activity.
