The chicken is paralyzed? Basically, there are seven reasons

Chicken farms often appear in the situation of chicken paralysis, many farmers are not clear what is the cause of such a situation, now do one by one analysis of such a situation:

The first: Newcastle disease
Sick chickens often appear leg paralysis, lameness or standing instability, head and neck torsion and other neurological symptoms, this disease due to the appearance of symptoms and anatomical lesions are more obvious and easy to diagnose, prevention and treatment is often according to the immune procedures and antibody levels, emergency immunization after the onset of the disease is often a good effect, but emergency vaccination should also consider whether there is mild influenza virus mixed infection, cautious immunization!
The second: Marek's disease
The disease occurs mostly in chickens between 2 months and 3 months of age, but chickens between 1 month and 18 months of age will develop the disease. When neurotype Marek occurs, the sick chicken only walks unsteadily at first, gradually develops paralysis on one or both legs, and is paralyzed when severe, and the typical symptom is a "big split" posture with one leg forward and one leg backward. Sick chickens have atrophied muscles and crooked PAWS.
Third: infectious encephalomyelitis
Most of the sick chicks show neurological symptoms at 1 week to 2 weeks of age, initially manifested as sluggish action, and then manifested as chicks unwilling to move and squat on their own tarsus, or there is one or both leg paralysis, sometimes in the legs, wings, and head visible paraphylastic tremor. There were no obvious changes in autopsy, some chickens had cerebellar edema and small gray area in muscle layer of glandular stomach.
There is no effective treatment for the disease, the sick chickens can be isolated, given a comfortable environment and adequate diet, pay attention to disinfection.
The fourth: coccidiosis
The faeces of the sick chickens are watery, and the metabolism of trace elements in the body is unbalanced due to long-term thin stool. The sick chickens showed ataxia, coma and convulsion. Dissected intestines showed spotty chronic bleeding, intestinal wall dilation, flaccid hypertrophy and necrosis.
Fifth: Mycoplasma bursae synovialis
Infected joints and paw pads of infected chickens are swollen, limp, often accompanied by sternal cysts, and decreased appetite for food. The anatomy reveals a thick, creamy white exudate in the affected joint. The disease is more common in chickens between 4 weeks and 12 weeks of age, and poor environmental conditions can aggravate the disease. The disease can be transmitted vertically, breeding chickens should be regularly quarantined and vaccinated. At the same time, pay attention to improve the level of feeding, layer hens have more mycoplasma bursae, pay attention to observation and treatment.
Sixth: Viral arthritis
Chickens between 4 weeks and 7 weeks of age are more common, and older chickens can also develop the disease. The infected chickens showed lameness, swelling of calf tendons, sometimes rupture, and subcutaneous bleeding. The tarsal joint or elbow joint contains yellow or blood-colored exudate, which can be prevented by vaccinating inactivated viral arthritis vaccine before opening in breeding chickens. There is no effective treatment after the onset, and symptomatic treatment is recommended.
Seventh: Staphylococcal infection (arthritis type)
Some diseases or human factors are the inducement of staphylococcal disease, such as spines immunity, trauma, poor feeding management and so on. The joints of the infected chickens were swollen, purplish red or purplish black, some ruptured, and formed black scabs, some chickens appeared tumors, swollen feet, some chickens gangrene and dry, and there were serous fluid in the anatomical joint capsule, or yellow purulent or serous cellulosic exudates.
In short, all the diseases that can cause chicken diarrhea can cause broiler paralysis, such as enterotoxic syndrome, viral arthritis, gout, mycoplasma synovialis, coccidiosis, Newcastle disease and so on. Diarrhea and fecal excrement accompany broilers almost for a long time, resulting in malnutrition of chickens, weak legs and unable to stand, the main causes are disease infection, feed hidden mold, harmful gas in the house, poor ventilation, immune suppression, etc. Therefore, to solve the problem of intestinal diarrhea in broilers can not rely on antibiotics alone, to find out the root cause, symptomatic treatment. It is necessary to improve the environment and protect the physiological function of the intestine.

High feeding density, low temperature, wet bedding, poor ventilation, uneven net bed, iron wire or sharp objects on the net bed, stress and so on, the existence of these factors provide a powerful condition for trauma infection, so strengthen management, to provide comfortable living space for broilers is also an effective measure to reduce paralysis chickens.

In short, to reduce the paralysis of chicken not only to strengthen the feeding management, increase the body disease resistance, but also to provide reasonable nutrition, reduce the disease of broiler chickens and leg diseases, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the paralysis of chicken elimination!
